They say a picture is worth a thousand words… so, to give my typing hands a little break I’ve put together some photos that capture various horse moments. Most of the time we’re pretty good about getting a lot of photos but if some of the albums seem sparse (i.e. on those great rides) it is only because somebody probably gave me the camera! Anyhow, I’m in the process of retraining myself to use a camera…and eventually a videocam – it hasn’t become a muscle memory yet! In time…. enjoy the photos.
April, 2009 - A day spent riding around some cows at a friend's property. We have no idea how to work cows so we just chased them around a little and got the horses used to them. Fortunately our friend had some good cow dogs to keep order in the herd as we scattered them around! Played on some trail course obstacles our friend had set up and then went on a neat trail ride in the hills above Newberg.

This is perhaps one of the best Poker Rides I've ever taken. It takes place every July in Philomath, OR. The ride is about 2-3 hours and covers some breath-taking scenery! We had a big crowd go with us this year and it was a lot of fun.

This water training episode with Rain took place Summer 09 up at the Flying M Ranch. Rain would either refuse to go into the water or leap in hysterically which was a little unnerving for her rider. We figured it was time for a lesson...
